Getting up close and personal to the world’s largest land mammal is such a treat. Witnessing how powerful they are and how easy it is for them to break big branches of trees or pushing them over is amazing. Our herds were scattered all over the property this month, and even to the far south east where it was difficult to keep up with them over the hills, through the river and very rocky roads. Still we managed to have great sightings and our Elephants remain one of the friendliest species at Makalali, and couple of minutes with them will verify my statement.
