In order for us to have a successful and healthy breeding herd, our three bulls were removed and new blood is on the way. Seven calves were born since the herd’s release onto Makalali, and it’s time for fresh genes. We wait in anticipation to for our new big boys, and hope they are as charming with the cows as the previous bulls. Our buffalos are still hanging around the dams, as the early afternoons are still quite hot and a swim is one of their favourite things to do...
